St. Petersburg, FL — On Sunday, May 2nd, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa Bay will be completely lit up in “Ride Smart Florida” green, in collaboration with Ride Smart Florida to raise awareness for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Ride Smart Florida, a communication and outreach extension of the Florida Motorcycle Safety Coalition, is a group of safety partners from around the state who share the common goal of reducing fatalities of motorcycle riders and their passengers. The bridge lighting is part of Ride Smart Florida’s year-round efforts to encourage motorcyclists to always ride smart and to remind all road users to watch for motorcycles.
